This is a course that gives managers and supervisors the knowledge, tools and training to help them handle Health and Safety in their teams. The course covers seven modules over three days, including assessing risks, identifying hazards and measuring performance.
The course involves classroom learning, group discussions and practical exercises, where delegates can put their new-found knowledge into practice. On the third and final day of the course, delegates will sit a 45-minute exam paper. They’ll also be assigned (and coached on) a project to be completed within the following two weeks.
Upon successful completion of the exam and project, delegates will receive an IOSH-awarded Managing Safely Certificate. We run IOSH Managing Safely courses in Wetherby, West Yorkshire, making it an ideal location for delegates in the Leeds, York, Bradford and Harrogate areas.
This course is aimed at CEO’s, MD’s, senior managers, directors and executives in any organisation and sector. It provides responsible leaders with everything they need to know about Health and Safety.
The course teaches you the value of Health and Safety, how to plan the overall direction for Health and Safety in your organisation, and how Health and Safety can benefit your productivity, reputation and profits.
We understand that your time as a leader is precious, which is why the course is delivered in an efficient and flexible format to fit around your schedule. You can choose between five hours of face-to-face learning or three hours of face-to-face learning with an online module.
Taking a completely new approach to Health and Safety training, this is a one-day course that covers all the basics of Health and Safety in an engaging, interactive and high-impact package.
The IOSH Working Safely course is designed to be fun and get people involved. Using fantastic PowerPoint presentations featuring high-quality animated graphics, we translate important technical content into jargon-free language that’s easy to understand and put into practice. We only reference genuine, real-life work situations in order to drive home practical points.
We use the very latest training methods and techniques to capture delegates’ attention, maximise the training experience and ensure key points and information are taken on board.

Manual Handling Train the Trainer
This course is designed to provide company delegates with the practical and technical knowledge to undertake and deliver effective Manual Handling training sessions in their own workplace.
The course is aimed at managers, supervisors and safety representatives from any organisations looking to provide their own in-house Manual Handling courses.
The duration of this course is dependant on the number of delegates and their previous experience and knowledge of manual handling knowledge. This is because each delegate is required to deliver a short 5 to 10-minute presentation. The maximum number of delegates for this course is 12.
This course equips delegates with all the knowledge, skills and tools to become a fully trained fire marshal. Appointing a designated fire marshal (aka a fire warden) in the workplace is not only a legal requirement, but it’s crucial to ensure that your workplace maintains great Health and Safety standards.
The course covers both preventative and reactive measures when it comes to fire safety. It teaches delegates about fire regulations and precautions, how to oversee a safe and effective evacuation, how to use firefighting equipment, if it’s safe to do so, and much more.
Fire Safety Awareness Training
This course gives delegates all the knowledge they need in the event of discovering a fire or hearing the fire alarm sound in the workplace. It’s essential that all your staff undertake Fire Safety Awareness training to ensure their safety in the event of a fire.

This course teaches delegates how to effectively identify, assess and document risks in the workplace while helping your organisation comply with the law. It’s suitable for anyone within an organisation who is responsible for undertaking risk assessments.
This course is best delivered in person, meaning our Risk Assessment trainers will come to your premises and provide a practical and comprehensive Risk Assessment training course that can be tailored to your company’s requirements.
The course covers the legal requirements of risk assessment, how to carry out a comprehensive risk assessment, and how to identify and implement controls.
COSHH, which stands for Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations, is a law that requires employers to protect employees from dangerous substances that are hazardous to their health.
Aimed at those who are required to undertake COSHH risk assessments, this practical course provides delegates with all the information they need to keep staff safe from potentially hazardous substances in the workplace.
The course enables delegates to understand the different types of hazardous substances, to identify the different types of hazard symbols and more.
